There is no way that thing is going to do anything. I could be wrong. If it even was a slight rain that thing would be filled up in 0.1 seconds. I
depending on your location you may want to leave extra room so when there are inspections on crawl space for terminate etc they to not need to remove this. Leave some room off the top of the beams so home inspectors can properly check.

Thin wall PVC isn’t going to last. I would not recommend following any of the steps in this video.
I used these for my home in WI and had no issues with the ice and snow melt. It didn’t flood my landscaping or wash out any of my black mulch. I’m planning on helping a friend install some of these in GA.
Why didn’t you show how it pops up to let the water out?

@@tj25peyton that basin has to fill up with water before it'll drain, meaning the pipe will as well need to fill up with water since there's not enough slope. Pipe is thin walled next to foot traffic area not deep enough below surface. Cold weather or a person could crack the pipe. The filtering attachment is going to block water and have it spill out onto the ground. Just clean gutters and connect drain directly to corrugated pipe. Throw basin in trash and connect the bubbler attachment directly on the other end of the pipe and bend it up to be flush with the ground

I did a similar project very happy with how it turned out. If you have hard soil save your back and go rent a trenching tool from home depot. I used a ground hog trencher and dug about 10 feet in about 15 minutes. Much better than a shovel.
Shorten job times and bottom line huh?? So the next company can tear it out 5-10years later and redo the right way
What would you recommend I do when winter comes along and the drain freezes?
The debris filter is making the downspout water from downspout splash around. I personally would not want any water around my foundation wall which I can prevent. That debris filter might need a cover.
Does it have to be on bare concrete or can u apply to already painted surface?
First think to do is to prevent the water coming in .
This stuff works GREAT! I highly recommend it. It fixed my basement up perfectly. I also used waterproofing sealer on the floor and walls.
